What we are and aren't

Eau Claire Basement Waterproofing is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.

In Wisconsin, a contractor who pulls a building permit for a one- or two-family home must hold a Dwelling Contractor certification and employ a certified Dwelling Contractor Qualifier, both issued by the Department of Safety and Professional Services. Wisconsin's home improvement rules (ATCP 110) specifically cover basement waterproofing and require a written contract whenever you pay anything before the work is finished. Ask who will pull any permit, ask to see the certification, and get the scope, materials, price, dates and warranty in writing.
